Bill Tillson

EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN

Bill Tillson is a 40-year veteran of the television industry.

Bill is the co-founder of Encompass and its Executive Chairman. Under Bill’s leadership, Encompass has completed five acquisitions. Bill also serves on the Encompass board.

Prior to Encompass, Bill was the founder and CEO of Broadcast Cable Services, Inc. (BCS) which provided consulting services to Tier One media companies related to the origination and transmission of television networks and media distribution on a global basis. BCS clients included the ABC Television Network, Disney ABC Cable Networks, Twentieth Century Fox, Viacom and Sony Pictures Television. Prior to founding BCS, Bill was a senior executive at Compact Video overseeing all network origination and transmission, post production, telecine and sound services.

Marc Bruce

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Marc Bruce has over two decades of experience in the broadcast media industry. The first decade was spent in various operational and project roles before moving into the commercial side of the business in 2010. Over the following eight years, Marc was central to the transformation of the Encompass EMEA business via the on-boarding of multiple new regional and international clients in both the linear and digital space.

In 2018, Marc took on the role of Managing Director, APAC, relocating from London to Singapore in the process. After a successful 4 year period managing the APAC business Marc returned to London in 2022 to take on an expanded role overseeing both the Encompass APAC and EMEA businesses.

Marc has an Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Theatre from London Metropolitan University.

John Brohel

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

John Brohel serves as Encompass CFO, bringing decades of expertise in global financial leadership to oversee all aspects of finance and accounting while advancing company growth through strategic investment evaluation.

John’s extensive experience includes roles as CFO at Locality and EVP of Finance at AMC Network, where he led international financial operations and executed numerous M&A transactions. At AMCN, he demonstrated exceptional oversight in fostering expansion and navigating complexities within the global entertainment industry.

Previously, as CFO at Leftfield Entertainment and during his tenure at HiT Entertainment, John managed rapid strategic growth and led successful company sales, including the sale of beloved properties like Thomas the Tank Engine and Bob the Builder to Matel. His track record showcases consistent success in driving value and guiding organizations through transformative mergers and acquisitions.

Jim Ewaskiew

CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

Jim Ewaskiew, Encompass’ CIO, is responsible for information technology spanning applications, data, cybersecurity and infrastructure globally. He brings over 20 years of diverse technology experience to the organization.

Jim joined Encompass in 2019, where he served as Vice President in the CTO office. Throughout his career, Jim has held senior roles within the media technology industry, including IBM, Akamai and Warner Media.

Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Kennesaw State University.

Luke Wheeler

CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Luke Wheeler, Encompass’ CTO, is responsible for defining and executing Encompass’ global technology strategy. He brings a wealth of industry experience covering multiple verticals from content production through to distribution.

In 2014, Luke joined Encompass where he led the solutions architecture group for nearly a decade. He also launched a wide array of services for customers through the leadership of regional project and engineering teams. Prior to Encompass, Luke held various architectural and engineering roles at organisations, including Paramount and the BBC.

Luke has a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Technology & Audio System Design from the University of Derby.

Juan Salleras

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT & GENERAL MANAGER, ENCOMPASS LATIN AMERICA

Juan Salleras, based in Buenos Aires, oversees the facility’s operations including content management, channel playout, satellite & fiber transmission services and non-linear video distribution.

Juan joined Encompass through its acquisition of TIBA where he served as Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing since 2003. Before joining TIBA, Juan worked for Diveo Broadband Networks as Vice President and General Manager of its Internet Data Center Business Unit. Juan has also held various positions at IBM Corporation including Head of Hardware and Systems Software Sales for the South Cone Region.

Juan earned his engineering degree from Buenos Aires University of Argentina.

Paul Firth

MANAGING DIRECTOR, APAC & EMEA

Paul Firth is Encompass’ Managing Director, APAC & EMEA, bringing 20 years of extensive experience in the broadcast sector. In his current role, Paul manages Encompass’ operations across the two critical regions, leveraging his deep industry expertise and strategic leadership capabilities.

He joined Encompass as part of its acquisition of Babcock Media Services in 2018, where he had been part of the senior management team since 2012, with roles including Project Director, Sales Director and, subsequently, Commercial Director, with responsibility for the operational delivery of all of Babcock’s radio services. Prior to his appointment as MD, he was responsible for Encompass’ international radio division, delivering services to blue-chip broadcasters on a global basis. Paul started his career in project management, progressing to bid management for high-value (£200m+) opportunities and, latterly, profit and loss responsibility for a portfolio of broadcast-related projects.

Paul graduated from the University of Kent at Canterbury with a degree in Management Science, which he complemented with a postgraduate Certificate in Management.

John Halpin

CHIEF LEGAL COUNSEL

John Halpin, Senior Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs, is Encompass’ chief legal officer and oversees all legal matters for the company globally. John’s primary responsibilities include negotiation of business transactions; corporate governance; and advising on legal aspects of M&A and corporate finance activities.

John joined Encompass through the Ascent Media acquisition where he served as Vice President, Legal and Business Affairs. Prior to that, he practiced law at several major law firms with a focus on mergers, acquisitions and securities law.

John is a graduate of the UCLA School of Law and holds a BA from Middlebury College.

Laura Veale

CHIEF PEOPLE OFFICER

Laura Veale, Chief People Officer, leads global HR strategy and operations across Encompass. With over 20 years of human resources experience, she brings deep industry expertise to her role. Laura fosters a performance-driven culture that emphasizes employee development and recognition.

Laura joined Ascent Media in 2007, before its acquisition by Encompass and returned as HR Director, EMEA in 2016. In this capacity, she played a pivotal role in integrating international employees following the acquisitions of MTG and Babcock Media.

During her tenure at Encompass, Laura demonstrated her commitment to the company’s global growth by expanding her leadership responsibilities to include the APAC region. This strategic move significantly strengthened the company’s HR framework and processes.
