David Hunter is a technology and business leader with over 30 years of experience driving digital transformation, operations excellence and enterprise performance for Fortune 500 companies, including AMC Networks, R.R. Donnelley, Nestlé, and PepsiCo.
Prior to joining Encompass, he was the Chief Technology Officer of Locality where he led the engineering, product, enterprise technology, and ad operations teams. He was the technical architect and leader of the launch of LocalX, an AI-powered platform that simplifies local video campaign planning and buying, offering access to inventory from 150+ premium streaming publishers.
Previously, he served as Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology officer of AMC Networks, overseeing enterprise technology, digital products, media supply chain, and broadcast operations. He established the Global Technology & Operations organization and led AMC’s digital transformation, implementing a cloud-based architecture to enable AMC’s hybrid distribution strategy focused on integrating streaming, linear and advanced advertising platforms. Under his leadership, AMC launched several new products including AMC+, FAST channels and ad supported services.
Earlier roles include Chief Information Officer of Cenveo and technology leadership positions at R.R. Donnelley, Nestlé, and PepsiCo.
David received his MBA from the University of Connecticut and graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Economics.
